Currently, there are two divorce cases – same cases, going on concurrently in two different courts in different states in Nigeria. One was filed by one party while the other party also filed in their state. Firstly, in this case, which of the judgements will be upheld at the end of both proceedings? Also, from my research, I learnt that it is wrong to have same cases going on concurrently, please what would you suggest can be done? Thank you.

The question is whether both cases are currently in two courts of coordinate jurisdiction.
You may apply for consolidation of both suits to one.
Otherwise apply to strike out the second suit for being an abuse of court process if the intent can be established.
